Hong Kong Investigation and Research Centre (HKIRC) has conducted public opinion poll between June 8 and 9, 904 people were interviewed. According to research data, 60% of interviewee have thought that the salary of under-secretaries is too high, 67% people interviewed have thought that the salary of political assistants is too high. Only 16% of interviewee support Government decision on the wage range of all under-secretaries, and political assistants due to job holder’s ability and experience, 38% of people interviewed agree on “same salary of same level”.
